SafeSitter® Essentials is designed primarily for youth ages 11 to 16, providing them with age-appropriate instruction on child care, safety skills, and emergency response.

No. Safe At Home focuses on personal safety, emergency readiness, and basic first aid for pre-teens staying home alone. For full CPR training, students are encouraged to take our SafeSitter® Essentials with CPR course once they reach age 11.

Child safety recommendations—such as infant sleep positions, choking protocols, and car seat guidelines—have evolved significantly in recent years. Our grandparent course offers a fun, supportive way to learn these modern updates alongside essential pediatric CPR basics.

Students should wear comfortable clothing for practical practice. All course materials, workbooks, and CPR practice mannequins are provided during class.
