QUICK ANSWERS

HeartCode® Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) FAQs

HeartCode® ACLS is an American Heart Association (AHA) blended learning program. You complete self-paced online modules covering advanced cardiovascular scenarios, ECG rhythm interpretation, and pharmacology, followed by an in-person, hands-on skills session at our St. Augustine facility to validate critical decision-making and megacode team dynamics.

This course is designed for advanced healthcare providers—such as ER/ICU doctors, nurses, paramedics, and anesthesiologists—who manage cardiac emergencies. During the hands-on session, instructors evaluate advanced airway management, ECG interpretation, pharmacology protocols, and team leadership in simulated cardiac arrest scenarios.

The online portion is completed at your own pace, while the in-person skills session takes 45–60 minutes. The session costs $150 (with an option to add BLS certification for $25). Class sizes are capped at 6 students, and you must complete the free online AHA ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment before attending your in-person evaluation.

Successful completion yields an official AHA HeartCode® ACLS eCard valid for 2 years. Ancient City Education and Training also offers on-site HeartCode® ACLS skills evaluations for healthcare facilities, emergency care teams, and medical offices—call 904-265-5832 to arrange group scheduling.
